Futures trading journal
A futures trading journal for ES, NQ and micro contracts
Futures traders think in ticks and contracts, often across several funded accounts at once. UNFLD records each futures trade in contracts, with the stop and target you planned, and shows the risk it carried and the R it made, so a run of trades on NQ or ES reads as a record you can learn from.

01
Built around contracts, not lots
Futures trades are sized in contracts, and each one keeps the symbol your platform gave it, contract month included, like MNQZ6 or ESZ6. Micros stay separate from the full-size contracts, because one MNQ point is worth a tenth of one NQ point.
Record the stop and target and UNFLD works out the risk-to-reward from the levels, then shows the R the trade actually made next to its net P&L.
- Size in contracts, entry and exit, risk used and R multiple on every row
- The session the trade was taken in and how long it was held
- Strategy, grade, confluences and notes, the same as any other trade

02
Getting your futures trades in
Enter trades by hand on any plan, with the net result after commission. On Gold, import a Tradovate statement or a prop firm dashboard export as a CSV file, and the trades are built from it.
There is no automatic connection to a futures platform yet: live sync today is for cTrader accounts. UNFLD only reads your history and never places, changes or closes a trade.
03
Review the session, not just the P&L
Index futures move differently through the day, so the journal keeps the session each trade was taken in and how long it ran. Every plan gets performance, risk and cumulative P&L; Gold breaks the same trades down by strategy, symbol, weekday, grade and the hour you opened, with a daily P&L calendar.
Your habits at a glance show which setups, grades and emotions keep turning up on your losing trades.

04
Futures prop firm accounts side by side
Most futures traders run evaluation and funded accounts with firms like Topstep, Apex or Lucid. Add each one as an account with its stage, profit target and max loss, and see them next to each other, with evaluation and funded capital counted apart. Accounts are tracked from the trades you enter or import; UNFLD doesn't connect to the firms themselves.
The futures prop firm directory lays out firms' rules, fees, drawdown types and payout terms side by side.

Practise on NQ and ES history
The backtester replays ES and Micro Nasdaq (MNQ, on NQ's price history) bar by bar, from the 1-minute chart up to the weekly, so you can rehearse a setup before you trade it with real money, or run it as a prop firm challenge.

Questions
Can I journal ES, NQ, MES and MNQ trades?
Yes, and any other futures contract. Each trade keeps the symbol your platform reports, size is recorded in contracts, and micros are kept apart from the full-size contracts.
Does UNFLD connect to my futures platform automatically?
Not yet. On Gold you can import a Tradovate statement or a prop firm dashboard export as a CSV file, and on either plan you can enter trades by hand. Live sync is available for cTrader accounts today, on Platinum.
How do I work out what a tick is worth?
The futures tick values lesson lists the tick and point value of ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, CL, GC and other popular contracts, and the risk calculator turns a stop in ticks into contracts and dollars at risk.
What happens at contract rollover?
Each contract month is its own symbol in your history, as your platform reports it, so trades on the December and March contracts stay distinguishable. The rollover lesson explains the month codes and when volume moves to the next contract.
Is the futures trading journal free?
Yes. Free includes the journal and core analytics for 1 account with trades entered by hand. Gold, at £19.99 a month, adds unlimited accounts and CSV import.
