Candlestick patterns
A two-candle reversal where the second candle closes past the middle of the first.
A piercing line comes at the end of a fall: a bearish candle, then a bullish candle that opens below the first one's close (traditionally below its low) and closes above the middle of its body, but not above its open. Dark cloud cover is the mirror at a top: a bullish candle, then a bearish one that opens above it and closes below its midpoint.
On forex, where candles rarely open with a gap, the opening condition is usually relaxed to opening at or near the previous close.
