Where a bearish FVG and a bullish FVG overlap: price has been offered both ways.
Illustration, not real market data.
What it is
A balanced price range forms when price drops fast and leaves a bearish FVG, then rallies fast back through the same area and leaves a bullish FVG. The overlap of the two gaps is the BPR.
Price often reacts strongly in that overlap when it returns.
How to spot it
A sharp move one way, then a sharp move back through it.
Mark both FVGs; the overlapping band is the BPR.
How to use it
Treat the BPR as the entry zone in the direction of the second (more recent) move.
Stop beyond the BPR.
Common mistakes
Calling any overlap a BPR when the moves weren't displacement.
